Where Roofs Actually Give Trouble
These are what homeowners call about. What we do about any of them depends entirely on what we find once we are on the roof.
Leaks and water stains
A stain on a ceiling or in the attic means water is getting in. Where it enters the roof is often some distance from where it shows up inside, which is why we look for the source rather than the symptom.
Missing, lifted or torn shingles
Wind lifts tabs and tears them off. A gap in the field leaves the underlayment doing a job it was never meant to do on its own.
Flashing
Chimneys, walls and skylights are where a lot of roofs leak, because that is where the roof surface stops and something else begins.
Valleys
Two roof planes meeting concentrates a great deal of water into a narrow channel. When a valley is wrong, it is usually wrong along its whole length.
Pipe boots and vents
The rubber collar around a plumbing vent hardens and splits with age. It is a small, common failure that leaves a hole straight through the roof.
Ridge caps and ventilation
Caps lift along the peak and ridge vents come loose. Both sit at the highest point on the roof, so both get found late.

A scheduled crew working to the written scope, photographs of what was opened up before it is closed again, and the site swept before anyone leaves.
Being straight with you
Sometimes a repair is the wrong answer.
If the roof is near the end of its life, if the same area has been patched more than once already, or if the damage runs across the surface rather than sitting in one place, a repair buys you months rather than years.
When that is what we find, we will say so and show you the photographs. You are under no obligation to us either way. Plenty of homeowners take that information and sit with it for a season, which is reasonable.

Yes. Most repair work is on roofs somebody else put on.
Do you offer emergency or same-day service?
Yes. If water is coming in, call us. Active leaks get treated as the priority they are, and we will tell you straight away what we can get to today.
How do I know whether I need a repair or a replacement?
That is what the inspection is for. Nobody can tell from the ground. We get on the roof, find the source, and tell you which one it is with the photographs to back it up.
What will a repair cost?
The number depends entirely on what is wrong, so we price it after we have seen it. You get a written price before any work starts, and it does not change unless the scope does.
What is covered after the repair is done?
Your written proposal sets out what is covered and for how long, before you accept it. That is where the commitment belongs: in your paperwork, in writing.
